I have seen this band play a number of times before, and always has it been a relaxing and soothing experience. This time was no different. Most of the tracks performed by Dylan Carlson came from the group’s latest effort The Bees Made Honey In The Lion’s Skull, like ‘Engine Of Ruin’, ‘Hung From The Moon’, the title track of the record and even the vinyl only track ‘Junkyard Priest’. The best thing of this show was the entirely new track they played which doesn’t even have a name yet. It features organist Steve Moore on trombone, an instrument perfectly fit for Earth’s minimal drone music. Another great performance by one of the most calming bands I’ve ever heard. The only remark I’d like to make is that these concerts should really be seated because they kill your legs. Other than that I can’t wait to see them again at Roadburn!
